To go out from oneself

and walk through life,

leave the known

and enter Samaria,

To create tolerance and radicality

along the way

to create spaces of evangelism

and enter your kingdom...

give me a very good eyesight, like that of a goldsmith

that can discover, appreciate and love

that which is minute and hidden,

and also a far seeing sight, like that of a sentry,

to see the horizon that awaits me

beyond the mountains and the fog.

And this, Lord, give me each day

to be able to enjoy and recreate

that which your Spirit delicately sows

in the spaces where I tread and dream

in such a turbulent and sterile time as this

when our utopias have fallen to the ground.
